SATURDAY 22ND NOVEMBER We were met at the Gran Canaria airport by teachers and students
SUNDAY 23RD NOVEMBER With our host families, most of us visited the highest mountain in Gran Canaria, which offered a great view, and went to the beach.
MONDAY 24TH NOVEMBER The Spanish students showed us their school. They gave a presentation about their school, their island and their culture.
TUESDAY 25TH NOVEMBER It was a cultural day: a visit to Gáldar and the La Cueva Pintada museum, Vegueta and Triana. We learned that the first indigenous people came from Africa over 3,000 years ago.
WEDNESDAY 26TH NOVEMBER We went to Tufia beach and visited the indigenous settlement. Afterwards, we went on a long hike along the coast and saw some unusual plants and caves in the sand
THURSDAY 27TH NOVEMBER Visit to Maspalomas. We explored the following sights: dunes, lighthouse. In the lighthouse, we learned how the indigenous people lived. We also learned how the first Spaniards
FRIDAY 28TH NOVEMBER The students took part in various workshops. In one, we made buttons.
SATURDAY 29TH NOVEMBER Our host families took us to the airport and the Spanish teachers took our teachers to the airport. We enjoyed our time in Gran Canaria and there were a few tears when we left .
